Great savings at Amazon

I recently needed to place quite a large order and I am very glad that there are various amazon savings and deals because I saved a pretty penny. At the moment there is free shipping on orders over $25 and up to 90% off certain used textbooks which is the bulk of what I was after. Plus of course as any savvy online shopper will know we always need to check for coupons before we buy any thing on or offline as a small fortune can be saved if you shop around, time things right and put in the smallest amount of effort.

It still amazes me how many people don’t bother – with so many websites and apps out there in the modern world we live in it really is simple and easy to find the best price and combine with available discounts. Why pay £50 for something you could get for £40 just by ordering from a different company or printing off a coupon to take to the store with you?

My brother is terrible at frugal shopping as he thinks it’s too much of a hassle and not worth the savings, but 30p here and £10 there and it soon adds up. If I took charge of his shopping and finances I think I could easily save him between £100 – £200 oer week. Just shopping at discount stores like Aldi and Lidl instead of Waitrose would be a big start ;)

And of course despite what my brother thinks being frugal isn’t only for the ladies – there are lots of men out there that love to save and savvy shop as well. FrugalDad.com is proof of that and a great resourse for anyone looking to make savings on a day to day basis.
