Tip: Buying packaging in bulk

With many products it can be inconvenient to bulk buy a lot of something, however, when it comes to packaging there are many reasons why you should be buying in bulk.
1. Packaging doesn’t normally spoil. Unlike bulk buying food, packaging will never go out of date and will always remain useable.
2. It won’t become old fashioned. It is also something that does not normally change dramatically, for example, the common envelope has not undergone any major redesigns recently. Therefore buying large quantities will last for a long time even if you only use a very small amount a year.
3. It is inevitably cheaper. Buying packing foam from the local corner shop will be charge at an extortionate rate in comparison to bulk buying it from a supplier. This is especially true of more unusual products such as polyurethane packaging, which not even be available in the local store.
4. It is more convenient. If your business regularly uses an obscure product such as polyethylene foam, it is far more convenient to bulk buy it and then store it for a later date. The only downside is that you need to ensure you purchase it at least a day in advance as there is not always a same day delivery option. Once stored thought, it is available at any time so no need to panic last minute as you know it is already stored in the stationary cupboard.
5. It is high quality. As long as you purchase your packaging from a reputable source, you will receive the same high quality you find on the high street but at a much cheaper price for your convenience. When it comes to packaging, it is not normally cheaper equates to low quality. As it is cheaper to produce high volumes, you will receive the same quality for less!
