Awesome Money Saving Tips

We can all save money here and there, but when it comes to saving that little bit extra – how is it done? We will look at some of the best ways to save you money and keep you out of debt (for more information about debt, visit FirstDebtConsolidation.co.uk)

Don’t buy things you can actually make
If you are constantly buying things like cakes, condiments and herbs, for example – you could save a lot of money by making all these yourself.

Cakes for example – the internet is scattered with recipes for all types of cakes! Condiments – the same applies, just look on the internet for recipes. As for herbs though, you will need to spend a little bit of money buying the seeds, pots and soil. But after that, you can just grow them at home on your window sill.

Stop smoking
If you’re a smoker…read on! If you smoke just one pack of cigarettes per day for the entire year, you could be spending more than $2,200 on your habit. That money could have been used to take your family on holiday, for example – or it could have been invested into a savings account.

If you are wanting to quit smoking to save money (and your own health), there is plenty of help available online and from your local doctor. There are plenty of support groups to help you get through the quitting stage. Just think though, you could be $2,200 better off each year if you didn’t smoke, so take action today and kick the habit!

Sell your old clutter online
Websites such as eBay and Amazon allow people to sell their old clutter online. So, if you have a load of old books, clothes, DVDs – or anything else for that matter – get yourself signed up to an online auction site and sell your stuff!

You’ll be surprised to see how much you could get for items you may have binned otherwise.

Buy value products
Instead of spending a premium buying the branded products in the supermarket, you should try and buy their ‘value’ equivalents. You could knock hundreds of dollars off your shopping bill every year by doing this, so you should give it a go.

Value products are often pretty much the same as branded products, so you will be getting a very similar product for a fraction of the price.
