Tip: Just 51 Days Until Christmas

If someone had told me a few years ago that by the end of October I would have already bought and wrapped most of my Christmas Gifts for the year I would have told them “No Way!” as my rule used to be that I would have nothing to do with Christmas until December 1st – but times have sure changed now with the shops full of Christmas goodies from mid October. The Christmas lights went up around town last week (though they are not being turned on yet!). Websites have started their Christmas offers and competitions and every email newsletter I get at the moment seems to be reminding me how many shopping days are left until the big day!

Personally I preferred it when Christmas ‘came later’ so to speak – as even though I love the season having it in our thoughts for so long just takes away from the magical and special nature of it for me.
